Backyard Poolside Transformation with Retaining Wall
This project involved designing and building a custom retaining wall to enhance a backyard pool area. The client’s goal was to create a sleek, functional boundary that would not only improve the aesthetics of the poolside but also provide durable erosion control. The existing space was functional but lacked definition and structure, which is why the client reached out to me for a masonry solution.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was to design a retaining wall that would complement the existing pool layout while blending seamlessly with the natural landscape. The backyard was bordered by overgrown vegetation and lacked clear boundaries. Additionally, I needed to create a solution that would prevent soil erosion around the pool and manage water drainage effectively, all while maintaining a visually appealing design.

My Approach

In addition, I used stones that contrasted beautifully with the concrete poolside, offering a sophisticated finish that enhanced the overall space.
