Revitalizing Front Steps with Seamless Stone Masonry
I recently had the pleasure of working on a project that involved repairing and enhancing the front steps of a client's home. The goal was to fix the existing steps while ensuring the new stone seamlessly matched the current facade, thereby improving both functionality and aesthetics.
The Challenge
The existing front steps had seen better days and required significant attention. The main challenge was sourcing stone that matched the existing facade perfectly. Additionally, the project demanded a high level of precision to ensure that the new stonework integrated seamlessly with the original structure.
“Brett from Earth & Mortar was fantastic. He did a great job fixing our front steps and even went above and beyond in finding stone that matched our current facade."
My Approach
To address these challenges, I began with a thorough assessment of the chimney's condition. This allowed me to plan the necessary steps for its restoration. The process involved meticulous cleaning of the stones, repointing the mortar joints, and replacing any damaged stones with carefully selected new ones that matched the existing material.
THE TRANSFORMATION
The transformation was remarkable. The new steps not only restored the functionality and safety of the entryway but also enhanced the overall curb appeal of the home. The before-and-after images above clearly show the difference:
CLIENT’S ENDORSEMENT
The clients' satisfaction with the work was encapsulated in their kind words:
“He did a great job fixing our front steps and even went above and beyond in finding stone that matched our current facade. He was neat, on time and a pleasure to work with. Communication via text was also a breeze. Won’t hesitate to call again in the future. Thanks for a job well done.”
CONCLUSION
This front steps project exemplifies my commitment to quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction. It was a pleasure to deliver a result that not only met but exceeded the client's expectations.
